Hello everyone!
I feel bad for posting so late, but it's hard to find the time to get on the internet during a busy schedule.
Anyway, I'm Lisa Summers and I am a senior at Mason High School, just south of Lansing (A small town surrounded by farms. Ha ha!) I am currently dual-enrolled at MSU for Japanese 301 and also at LCC for two music classes. My high school switched to trimesters instead of semesters, which gives me only five classes at high school, and because I'm dual-enrolled in three college classes, I only take two classes at my high school. Sounds fun, right?
I'm planning on going to college as a piano performance major; I've been playing for about 11-12 years now so it's been a while. But I still need to actually finish my applications and write those darn essays! I have an older sister who just graduated high school last year and actually went to an art college in Grand Rapids. Seems like fine arts run in the family, even though neither of my parents did anything like that. My dad works in Lansing, and my mom pretty much acts as my chauffeur for the many places I have to be. It's nice though because she helps me with my Japanese homework since my mother is Japanese, born in Tokyo, making me half Japanese.
Well, I would like to add more, but I must finish my math homework for tomorrow.
Bye-bye!
Lisa

Nice to meet you

Hello, my name is Emily Tobin. I’m a senior at Michigan State University, and in May, I will graduate with a degree in English Literature. Because I’m a senior, this semester I am very busy applying to graduate schools. Also, I have a lot of homework (usually Japanese), so school takes up most of my time. Reading and writing are two of my favorite things to do when I’m not busy with homework, and I also really love to exercise by riding my bike. I’m in the MSU anime club too, which is a lot of fun, and I go to a lot of movies with my friends on weekends. This is my last semester at MSU, so I’ll be sorry to leave, but I’m also excited to start graduate school, where I’m going to be studying Library Science.
I am an only child. My parents live in a town called Big Rapids, and I have a pet cat at home named Speedy. During the summer, I work at the library in Big Rapids, where this summer I had to dress up as a caterpillar. (That sounds really strange, but it actually happened—I’ll post a picture sometime). Something else that happened this summer was that my friend got married, which was exciting, but also kind of sad, since now she’s moved to another state. Still, I’ll probably see her some time over winter break, so that should be fun.

So far this fall, the weather has been really nice, and I’m really not looking forward to winter. (I don’t have a car, so even when it’s really snowy, I have to ride my bike everywhere). The picture at the top is one I took in one of the MSU gardens last year. I like going there to study this time of year, because usually it's very quiet.
This past summer, I saved the money I made at work so I could buy the computer I’m typing on now. But since I don’t know everything about my new computer yet, I still need to figure out how to type in Japanese. -_-! So I’ll do that for my next blog. Talk to you later!
